I love seeing pictures of a cowboy relaxing on a fence. It seems calm and peaceful to me. Imagine with me if suddenly there was an angry bull running full on toward that cowboy. Do you think he would calmly sit there or would he move as fast as he could to jump off the fence to safety? I expect that any cowboy with an ounce of common sense would quickly move to a safe spot on the opposite side of the fence. Who would want to just sit there are let the bull hit him full on? Not me!

Let's move that picture over to the spiritual realm. For far too long many, many believers have been sitting and relaxing on the fence. They sit there. One foot in the world. One foot following Christ. Part of them wants to follow Christ or at least they feel like they need to keep up the appearance of following Christ. The other part of them wants to be accepted by the world and have what the world has to offer.

Believers, it's time to get off the fence. There is a bull, the enemy, heading straight for us. We are in danger because he seeks to kill and destroy. If we remain on the fence, he will do just that. We need to be all in...... ALL IN... for Christ.

The church has been shaken this year. We can not go back to business as usual. Our lives need to be fully committed to Christ and His ways. We need to be praying, seeking Christ, pouring over His Word, and casting off all that is contrary to His ways. We need to dig deep to remove the spirit of secularism that has crept into our lives, families, and churches. Nothing should be valued higher than Jesus! Get off the fence and walk with Christ.

But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:33

Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God (living in unbroken fellowship with Him) in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:11

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:13-16

The end of all things is near; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer. 1 Peter 4:7
